Meet the Simply Swim Team
Qualified, passionate swim teachers who love to see their students thrive!

Emma · Lyn · Lucy · Toni

Toni
Owner, Level 2 Teacher; Pre-School & Baby Qualified

Toni took over Simply Swim in July 2024. Her life-long love of swimming includes experience as head of swimming at Brighton College and winning a silver medal at the Europeans triathlon.

Having taught this important life skill for over 17 years, Toni believes the best and most effective approach is a nurturing one. Her teaching style in the pool matches her ethos when leading her Forest School, Wood and Wild.
"Teaching swimming fills my bucket - pool side is my happy place (along with the woods) and I love seeing children progress in a caring environment that individualised their needs."

Lyn
Level 2 Teacher; Pre-School & Baby Qualified

Swimming has always been an important part of Lynette's life. She's following in her Father's footsteps as he managed Burgess Hill and Danson Park Lido and was a swimming teacher himself.
Lynette spent many hours in and by the pool, joining the Burgess Hill club at the age of 8 and becoming a lifeguard at 20. She's been teaching ever since (an American summer camp being a highlight) and poolside is still her happy place today.

"I absolutely love teaching, and seeing the children enjoying it makes my day. You can't beat seeing them progress and find their confidence."

Anthony
Anthony is the Head of Prep School Swimming at Hurst. He is a lifelong swimmer and former member of Worthing Swimming Club Water Polo team, where he played at Junior and Senior level.

In 2015 he began teaching at private swim schools and shortly after co-founded the company Drenched Mini Water
Polo, to bring the game to a wider audience and increase grass roots interest in the sport.
Anthony took up the role of swimming teacher at Hurst in 2018 and in 2019 assumed the role of Head of Swimming.

Emma
Level 2 Swim Teacher, Pre-School and Baby Qualified

Emma has been in love with swimming since she began at the age of 5 - in the Berlin Olympic pool no less!
Emma began her teaching journey at Burgess Hill swimming club 20 year ago. Since then she's been teaching at primary level and worked for several baby swimming companies including the well-knownPuddleducks.
"Teaching gives me the greatest buzz - combining my love of children and water, and giving me the opportunity to pass on the confidence and passion that I have - it’s my dream job!"

Lucy
Level 2 Swim Teacher, Pre-School and Baby Qualified

Lucy has been a qualified swimming teacher for over 10 years, and is also a qualified parent and baby teacher.
She began her journey at the Triangle leisure centre in Burgess Hill, progressing from Water Assistant to Level 2 teacher during her time there. Since then, Lucy has worked for several swim schools and has never tired of watching children go from strength to strength.
"I love teaching and seeing the children progress makes me super happy!"
